This policy applies to all individuals working for or on behalf of Novovital Ltd in any capacity, including but not limited to:

4. Responsibilities

The management of Novovital Ltd has overall responsibility for ensuring that this policy complies with legal and ethical obligations and that all those under our control comply with it.

All employees and those working on behalf of the company are responsible for:

reading, understanding and complying with this policy;
avoiding any activity that might lead to, or suggest, a breach of this policy;
reporting any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery without delay; and
co-operating with any investigation into suspected breaches.

5. Recruitment and Employment

Novovital Ltd is committed to fair recruitment and employment practices. We will:

carry out recruitment processes in a lawful and transparent manner;
not knowingly employ anyone who is being forced to work against their will;
not retain original identity documents except where required by law and handled appropriately;
seek to ensure that workers understand the terms and conditions of their employment;
seek to ensure that wages are paid directly to the worker; and
take seriously any sign that a worker may be subject to coercion, exploitation or abuse.

6. Supply Chains

We expect our suppliers, contractors and business partners to share our commitment to preventing modern slavery.

Where appropriate, we may:

assess the risk of modern slavery in our supply chains;
seek assurances from suppliers regarding ethical labour practices;
review supplier relationships where concerns arise; and
terminate or refuse to enter into relationships where modern slavery risks are identified and not adequately addressed.

7. Reporting Concerns

Any employee or person working on behalf of Novovital Ltd who knows or suspects that modern slavery or human trafficking is taking place, or may be taking place, must report it immediately to management.

All concerns will be taken seriously and handled appropriately. No person will suffer detrimental treatment for raising a genuine concern in good faith.

8. Breaches of This Policy

Any employee who breaches this policy may face disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal.

Any supplier, contractor or other business partner who breaches this policy may have their relationship with Novovital Ltd terminated.

9. Training and Awareness

Novovital Ltd recognises the importance of awareness in preventing modern slavery. We will seek to ensure that appropriate persons within the business understand the risks of modern slavery and know how to identify and report concerns.

10. Review

This policy will be reviewed regularly and updated where necessary to reflect changes in law, guidance or operational practice.
